Australia’s OSCAR 5 radio satellite was launched
On the 23rd January, 1970, Australia’s first amateur satellite, and the first to operate under remote control, the OSCAR 5 (Orbiting Satellites Carrying Amateur Radio) was launched in California, U.S.
James Gibb and his family started hitting champagne corks across the table with cigar lids in 1889, and the game of table tennis was born.
