The Spitfire aircraft had it’s first test flight
On the 5th March, 1936, Mutt Summers piloted first test flight of the Supermarine F37/34 (later known as the Spitfire) in Southampton, England.
The first escalators, which appeared in the late 1800s, were initially developed as amusement park rides!
