On the 5th April, 1933, Dr. Evarts Ambrose Graham performed the first surgical removal of an entire lung to prevent the spread of cancer.
The tin can was invented in 1810, but people would be bashing away at it with a hammer and chisel for 48 years until Ezra Warner invented the first can opener.
