Lorenzo Adkins patented a Water Wheel
On the 17th May, 1839, Lorenzo Dow Adkins received a patent for a Spiral-Bucket Water-Wheel, which used water to generate power to operate mills and other machinery.
The first computer “bug” was found in the Harvard Mark I by Grace Murray Hopper when a moth caused one of the relays to fail.
