On the 19th November, 1960, the world’s first jet engined aircraft capable of a Vertical Take Off and Landing (VTOL), was flown for the first time.
Cats Eyes (reflective road markings) were invented by Percy Shaw after the eyes of a real cat saved him from driving over a cliff through a fog.
